Traveling Man
I have been extremely busy traveling around since my last post. I have been to Nana and Papa's, Orange Beach AL twice once with my Garrity Aunts and once for our family vacation, and I have been to Hilton Head SC for a conference with Daddy. I decided since my 1st birthday is coming up I should fill everyone in on what I have doing. Being as I have been traveling I have been riding in the car. It has become apparent to me that when we get on the interstate I should try to relax instead of causing a ruckus. We all know that doing that is no fun so I find it best to have full attention. To help calm one feisty little boy such as myself it is a good idea to relax in the pool or play with Katie at the beach.

After fun in the pool or beach and a nice relaxing bath it is time to enjoy the night time air with Papa Ray or Daddy. There is absolutely no denying we are 2 peas in a pod. I have even perfected the look.

Before we depart to return home on any trip we should always spend time outside to help wear me out or playing with Isabella. If you take note of the evil grin I may not comply.

If everything goes as planned I should look like this on the way home from any of my travels. However often this does not take place until the last 30 minutes - teehee.

Once I am home I get to perfect all of the new things that I have learned like my little laugh, my crawling, my climbing skills, and most importantly teaching Isabella that it is OK to share with me.

I am glad my traveling days are finished for the summer. Yahoo! No more long rides in the car seat.

Moving Miles
The things I do to get around may not be normal for an almost 10 month old but they work for me. For starters I just plain and simple refuse to crawl, I did give Momma, Daddy and Isabella a sneak peek at 1 crawl today. Yes, just one crawl just like one step. It was to get to the sofa so that way I could stand by Momma. When I made my crawl everyone got really excited but not enough for it to happen again tonight.
When I was at Nana's a few weeks ago she even tried to get me to crawl. I stood my ground and did not crawl for her. I was more interested in Maya. Maya is one of the petite yaya's that I am apart of. I am actually the only boy in this special group so I am one special piece of the yaya pie.
After much protesting I finally got a pair of shades. Momma says someday soon I will get to wear them outside but for now I have to get used to them in the house under her supervision so I do not poke my eye out. However she should be more concerned with Isabella trying to poke my eye out with her finger instead of with me playing with sunglasses. After all I need my beautiful blue eyes.
There I lay in my nice warm room in my lovely bed when at 5AM Momma comes in to wake me up. What on earth is going on I thought? There were no trips planned so I knew we would not be traveling. She told me that today (5.19.09) I would be getting tubes in my ears to help my ears steer clear of infections. I was so excited about this news. So far I have not had an ear infection but it has only been 1 week. So keep your fingers crossed.

Things you need in the future
It has been a long time coming for me to let you all know what I have been doing. I have been really busy since my baptism learning new skills. The skills that I have been learning will help me later in life. For instance:
Sleeping - this is essential to any growing boy because with out it I would not be able to do all of the above. Without sleep I would lack energy to play.
Playing - keeps my mind growing and working so someday I will be famous.
Relaxing - to learn how to relax I lay on my blanket in the yard especially on sunny days so that I am able to get extra vitamin D.
Eating - as you can tell from my thankles that I am currently not having any problems in this department, it also helps having a big sister that like to feed you.
Sitting - has enabled me to strengthen my ab muscles.

I've come a long way in 6 months.....
Wow - I have come a long way since 8.7.08. I used to just lay around in my isolette all day long.
Now I can roll over where ever I want to go. I am even working on getting up on all four so I can crawl. I have a bit of a temper so sometimes I get mad when I have been trying for too long. Isabella usually comes over to where ever I am to help me. I am sitting up with help and learning how to enjoy the real swing on the playset outside instead of the mechanical one inside.
I barely remember having to be fed from a tube because now I am eating oatmeal and rice cereal.
I even try to feed myself. Momma is starting to make my first real baby food today - butternut squash. I can hardly wait to taste that.

Christmas Time is here...
My first Christmas was a very special one we got to have Christmas in 3 places: at home, at Nina and Papa's and in New Orleans. I don't know if this will happen every year but if it does it will be most cool. A loving kiss from Momma - she gives the best kisses!
At Nina and Papa's before opening presents. Isabella is enjoying Papa's egg nog but Jackson and I have to wait until next year.
Getting some snuggs from Momma. Don't let her yellow eyes alarm you she was having a high billirubin kind of day.
