The Rite of Baptism

My Baptism was on February 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church in Belle Chase LA. The priest that performed my baptism was Father Billy O'Riordan and he was the priest at the grade school where my Momma went to school (St. Cletus). Here I am being baptized. I was taking in every moment of this very special occasion. As Fr. Billy poured the Holy Water over my head I looked right to Papa Ray and smiled really big, I knew something special was happening so did everyone else in church because they all started laughing. Here I am showing off my new Godparents: Nanny Jenna and Paran Andy.
Let the celebrating begin. 'Can someone feed me?'
Finally someone put me in some comfortable clothes. Thanks for making the long trip Nana, Papa, Nanny Jenna, Uncle Justin, Aunt Michelle and Jackson.

I've come a long way in 6 months.....

Wow - I have come a long way since 8.7.08. I used to just lay around in my isolette all day long. Now I can roll over where ever I want to go. I am even working on getting up on all four so I can crawl. I have a bit of a temper so sometimes I get mad when I have been trying for too long. Isabella usually comes over to where ever I am to help me. I am sitting up with help and learning how to enjoy the real swing on the playset outside instead of the mechanical one inside.
I barely remember having to be fed from a tube because now I am eating oatmeal and rice cereal. I even try to feed myself. Momma is starting to make my first real baby food today - butternut squash. I can hardly wait to taste that.

One Liner Wednesday

Hanging out with Nina in our matching shirts.

Look at me I am about to roll over.

Yes my Momma has trained me to give myself my breathing treatments.

Freedom at last.

How did I get myself into this mess?

Christmas Time is here...

My first Christmas was a very special one we got to have Christmas in 3 places: at home, at Nina and Papa's and in New Orleans. I don't know if this will happen every year but if it does it will be most cool. A loving kiss from Momma - she gives the best kisses! At Nina and Papa's before opening presents. Isabella is enjoying Papa's egg nog but Jackson and I have to wait until next year.

Getting some snuggs from Momma. Don't let her yellow eyes alarm you she was having a high billirubin kind of day.

Isabella this is for all of the times you grab at me. It is only the beginning of how I will get you back. I love you!

Enjoying the sounds of New Orleans at the Moonwalk listening to some cool cat playing the saxophone.
My shirt says it all. That is why everyone loves my cheeks!
My future babysitter - Kalee Jo. She knows exactly what I like....to be held. Unfortunately for Momma and Daddy I was a little devilish after my Christmas vacation from all extra arms that were willing to hold me.

Twas the night before Christmas

When all through the house I kept Momma and Daddy up all through the night
I tried to be sweet as can be but the visions of sugar plums were too much for me

I was eating like a good boy for I knew St. Nicholas would soon be here.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
Love Miles

The things you do in November

Get forced to take your nunu by your big sister, Isabella.
Relax for my nebulizer treatment (breathing).
Fast asleep in my bed - a great place to be after a long hard day of playing.

Smile - with lots of help from Nina.

Hang out with Daddy. He works my neck muscles out so I can be big and strong just like him.

Where did those cheeks come from?

The first thing everyone says when they see me is 'Look at those cheeks'. It actually looks like I am storing nuts in them for the winter. My last visit to Nina and Papa we had a small discovery. I get them from Papa. Nina showed me an old baby picture of Papa Ray and there is no denying that those cheeks come from none other than Papa Ray!
